about

Mister Nik (AKA Chad Nikolz) is a dude with a burning desire to say a bunch of stuff. Based outta Seattle WA, Mister Nik is a vocalist, horn player, and songwriter. As a kiddo, he spent most of his time wailing away on a rusty trumpet (biggups to his folks for their impressive patience and potential hearing loss), excelling in jazz band, and suffering through orchestra. Shortly after high school, Mister Nik formed a rag-tag band that basically just made awkward noise at house parties. By most accounts, they were decent at what they did (hip hop jam band stuff). However, Mister Nik was simultaneously pursuing a career as a pro bicycle racer, something he'd been up to since he was 12, and the two worlds weren't mixing well. So, music got tucked away, and Mister Nik spent the next decade wearing a lot of spandex, eating a fu*k ton of Clif Bars, and riding his bicycle very quickly in circles. Then, a couple years ago, Mister Nik decided his athletic dreams were satisfied, and began his slow return to music. His musical creations, "serve as affordable therapy, a creative outlet, and a rad way to pass time with the homies." He has no intention of making money with his art, insisting that, "...the time anyone spends listening to my stuff is payment enough. Believe me."
